Refined two-handled cup with saucer, made in Milan in the first half of the 19th century.
The saucer has a poly-lobed rim and is richly decorated with scrolls and flowers. The cup shows this very same decorative motif on its faceted body and has two scroll-shaped handles.
Silver fineness hallmark: an anvil. Please, see the similar hallmark I have found and photographed in an essay about antique silver hallmarks.
Total weight: 331 grams.
In good condition. The saucer is in vermeil unlike the outer body of the cup: likely it was a choice by the silversmith (the cup body looks as if it were in vermeil due to the mirrored saucer). The lower rim of the cup shows a small dent, as shown by the last pictures.
