Tea box made of oak that is glued with violet wood (Kingwood). The tea caddies in the box and accompanying mixing caddy in between are special. The box has a beautiful wax finish which gives the whole a beautiful deep shine. The pictures show that some restorations have been done at the hinges in the past. For a box of this age, it looks beautiful.
The box still has its original fitting, the lock seems to have been replaced by another lock from the 18th century.
