Furnishing ornament, unique artwork, collaboration Capodimonte/Endrio.
Silver plated, 1980, made in Italy.
This work is the only one to have been created during the collaboration between Endrio and Capodimonte.
Capodimonte porcelain, one of the glories of the Neapolitan handicraft production, is linked to the splendour of the Bourbon dynasty. In 1743, King Charles of Bourbon and his wife Amalia of Saxony decided to found a porcelain production centre right inside the Royal Palace of Capodimonte, with the intention of creating a porcelain that could reach the glory of the best European factories, first of all the German Meissen factory.
Endrio, on the other hand, was a famous Neapolitan blacksmith, who passed away many years ago, he produced very few works that are now almost impossible to find in Italy or worldwide; Endrio lived for many years in the most infamous neighbourhood of Naples, his works reflect his life but still are delicate and of high design.
These works are nowadays almost completely gone given that the collaboration was brief and never announced.
