Koehn, Eduard - German watchmaker
Eduard Koehn was born in Germany in 1839. From 1859, he studied at the watchmaking school in Geneva. Afterwards in 1861, he began working as an ordinary watchmaker at Patek Philippe and after 15 years was made director.
In 1891, Edouard Koehn acquired H.R. Ekegren. The quality awareness, which he assimilated in his many years at Patek Philippe, was later reflected in his own products.
Beautiful gold pocket watch (hallmarked) - 750 yellow gold - hallmarked inside both lids.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and continuous minute scale running around the outside. Fine, blued steel hands.
Small sunken seconds at 6 o'clock. Signed Ed KUEHN GENEVE.
A smooth back.
Inner lid likewise 18 kt gold - smooth - with owner's engraving THOMAS MELLVILLE VINSON BOSTEN.
Manufacture movement of the former Patek Philippe director - very beautiful and first class design - signed in black Ed. KUEHN Nr. 76159 GENEVE SUISSE. Special decorative cut - gold gears - patented fine regulation - a masterpiece.
Movement fully functional.
The watch diameter without pedant is 47 mm. With pendant 62 mm. Weight 62 g
