Rare netsuke of the manju type, large size, made of boxwood with nine finely-sculpted and patinated masks.
Depicting Nōh and Kyogen theatre actors, it is easy to recognize Hannya, Kiyohime, Okina and Okame. Rare and sought-after, it is rare to find such a high number of figures in a single netsuke.
