The 'Portrait of Antonin Artaud' is the only multiple Fontana ever made. It was made in 1968, the year of his death, and was released by Le Soleil Noir in Paris in a circulation of 80 copies.
Originally it contained a book about Antonin Artaud and four oval disks with perforations, which are missing. The main part, however, is the sculptural form itself, which also carries the signature. It is applied to the coating with a pointed marker, right on the pedestal, and only visible at a certain light. The front with a series of vertical perforations is a typical 'concetto spaziale'.
At the bottom left there is a minor damage. The two wings close with magnets. Weight: 1.47 kg.
