Ulpiano Carrasco Valero (1961)
Ulpiano Carrasco is a painter and sculptor born in Cuenca. His painting is based on his life experiences, therefore in landscapes, objects and people archived in his memory appear in them.
The landscape of Castilla La Mancha occupies an important place in Ulpiano Carrasco’s work. The illuminated shapes and colours, almost fluorescent stand out in his paintings, too. His style is expressionist and at the same time, it keeps a detailed impressionism. Benjamin Palencia is one of this masters.
His first individual exhibition was in Albacete, in 1985. After several years during which he publicised his work in Spain, Ulpiano Carrasco exhibited his works in Paris, New York and Singapore in 1999. Since then he is an international painter and his works are exhibited all over the world.
