Original French comtoise with 8-day verge escapement movement.
The clock is in good working condition and runs and strikes as it should.
The clock strikes the bell on full and half hours, followed by a repetition after approx. 2 minutes on the full hour.
The movement has wooden winding reels and a steel saw for the striking mechanism.
The timepiece was cleaned professionally and restored where needed.
The clock has been fitted with new red ropes for the running and striking mechanism.
Neat feuille, representing the sun with on both sides dates, wheat ears and bunches of grapes. In the centre the Latin text "Hora Fugit" which means "time flies."
The enamel dial has three minor instances of damage.
The clock comes complete with bracket and winding key.
