Willem Brauckmann (Brauck) - Landschap studie

Willem Brauckmann (Brauck) - Landschap studie
Acrylique sur toile - Signé à la main

After his academic training, Willem Brauckmann (Brauck) worked in advertising and exhibition architecture for many years. With his paintings Brauckmann shows how he looks at the existence. He tries to make the viewer aware of duality within the current society: the constructive on the one hand and the destructive on the other. That appealed to him. It seems contradictory: the heaviness of the subjects and Brauckmanns bright use of colours. Colours do not speak, but they are, tacitly, very revealing. The work of Brauckmann truly demonstrates this. That colour use is essential in the work: "It is the expression-possibility for me." Brauckmann is very socially critical, and that shows, but with an optimistic expression.
In addition to this theme, Brauck mainly paints landscapes. A predilection for the French Country (life) will be visible when you look at the paintings. The warmth is obvious, and also here the graphical background is clearly perceptible, given the flat distribution and composition in the paintings.
