Gerrit van Assendelft dedicates the house and castle of Assumburch, of which he has tenure and which he has extended with many of his own goods, lands, tithes, land leases and fishing rights, to the feudal court in Breda of the prince of Orange (as Lord of the Leck) and also the fiefdoms under his manors under Eemskerck (Heemskerk), Castricom (Castricum) and Wijck opt Zee (Wijk aan Zee), more elaborately described in his commission of 31 December 1546, upon which Gerrit van Assendelft is again enfeoffed with the house and homestead in which Barthoudt van Assendelft used to live, called Assumburch and located under Eemskerck, with all rights and lands as specified in old enfeoffments, as well as the right of dovecote and swan-keeping, prebends and other landed properties acquired at a later date, all of which are described again with mention of name, size and origin, all as an inseparable and eternal lease, to be transferred with three sparrowhawks or for each sparrowhawk 10 shillings; Gerrit van Assendelft is commissioned to pay tribute to Aerndt Ceuvel, bailiff of the goods of de Lecke and guardian of the registers of the feudal court of Holland. This enfeoffment is made with the permission of John, Lord of Merode and Claude Bouton, Lord of Corbaron, guardians of the Prince of Orange.
