A corner fragment from a very large cuneiform tablet Old Babylonian clay tablet, with cuneiform on both sides.
With accompanying note signed by W.G. Lambert (late Professor of Assyriology, University of Birmingham, 1970-1993) which states: ‘Corner fragment of clay tablet with lexical list. Old Babylonian, c. 1900-1700 BC’. The note is unsigned but is in the characteristic hand-writing of the professor.
Circa 1900-1700 BC.
Fine condition with clear cuneiform script.
Provenance: From a British 1980’s-1990’s collection of cuneiform much of which was seen and translated by Professor Lambert.
