Anselmo Bucci (1887-1955) - Halte

Anselmo Bucci (1887-1955) - Halte
Dessin à l'encre - Signé à la main - 1915

Engraving signed and numbered (72/100) in pencil by the author, from "Croquis du Front Italien", edition of 100 copies on Rives paper, published in Paris by D'Alignan, which includes 50 works made with drypoint, in which Bucci describes scenes from the front in the First World War.

In good condition, the borders of the paper are slightly used but the artwork itself is mint.

The author, an Italian painter, engraver and writer, moved to Paris in 1906 where he met Severini and Modigliani and associated with Picasso, Utrillo and Apollinaire. Here he became interested in engravings, especially drypoint. In 1915 he volunteered in the “Battaglione Ciclisti” with Marinetti, Boccioni, Sant’Elia and other Futurists. In 1922, with Sironi, Funi and others he founded the group "Novecento".
