Dario Agrimi works in the field of contemporary art with conceptual works and expresses himself with different techniques (painting, installation, photography, sculpture and video). The series collects the most recent works of the Apulian artist, between a bold hyperrealism and a poetics that looks into the human condition. The medium is used to serve the idea, the artist-creator is free of constraints, techniques, there are no limits, aiming at the representation, ideas are created from a continuous practice with the world of things.
“In the creation of his work, Agrimi triggers a mechanism of communication entropy, in a relationship of knowledge with the world, with reality, not depriving himself of irony, he acts on the border of abstraction, of indetermination, inviting the viewer to a reflection, to a relationship of discovery, of exploration of contemporary society.”
He participated in many group and solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions of various towns, in Italy and abroad, including the 54th international art exhibition Venice Biennale. Recently, he has been a guest at the Fondazione Museo Pino Pascali with several exhibitions, including a solo exhibition.
In the last months he was engaged in several international contemporary art fairs in Europe, and in 2019 he will join the TATE MODERN catalogue.
