Condition: The binding and the spine in particular are discoloured. Small spot with damage on the bottom of the spine. Ex-libris 'Sir Robert Williams' on the inside of the front cover, small ex-library marks (one number, one small stamp, not on the title page). Paper on the inside of the back cover is scraped. The large fold-out map (60 x 40 cm) has a tear of 6 cm on the edge. This is attached with acid-free tape on the rear.
Otherwise good, clean and odourless. Generally a very decent copy.
'General Sir Horace Lockwood Smith-Dorrien, GCB, GCMG, DSO, ADC (26 May 1858 – 12 August 1930) was a British Army General. One of the few British survivors of the Battle of Isandlwana as a young officer, he also distinguished himself in the Second Boer War (...). In the spring of 1915 he commanded the Second Army at the Second Battle of Ypres (...).
