Joel-Peter Witkin - Joel-Peter Witkin - 1989

Description
Joel-Peter Witkin - Joel-Peter Witkin - 1989
Photographie - Quantité : 1 - Livre

Joel-Peter Witkin is one of the most transgressive contemporary photographers. Born in 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, he worked as a war photographer during the Vietnam War between 1961 and 1964. His work often deals with themes such as death and sex, and portrays people with dwarfism as well as transgender and intersex persons. Witkin claims that his vision and sensibility spring from an episode he witnessed as a young child, an automobile accident in which a little girl was dead. This book was published on the occasion of his individual exhibition at the Centro Nacional de Arte Reina Sofía.
