Frisch & Co. Publisher Wien Leipzig Bern 1921 on behalf of the art printing company of The Viennese Secession, very rare edition of trial print with manual corrections.
Sheet in very good condition, although the sheet is 98 years old, of course it is yellowed but it has no visible spots. Signed by hand and also signed in lithographic stone. Lithograph, originally mounted on cardboard, topographically numbered, titled.
The sheet comes from the artist portfolio released on the occasion of the big exhibition at the Viennese Secession, the last two photos show the origin of this print (The last two photos are not part of the auction!!)
Sturm-Skrla Egge Viennese painter and graphic artist, after returning from military service at war, he co-founded the Neue Vereinigung ( The Hagenbund) in 1919, alongside painter Viktor Tischler. In 1921 he left the Hagenbund, exhibited from now on in the Künstlerhaus and received several awards as well as a scholarship. In 1921 Sturm took part at the International Art Exhibition at the Viennese Secession, three years later in Rome....
