This beautiful bust represents the young Louise Brongniart, made by the Van Paridon brothers from Amsterdam following the example of the French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828) This sculpture is created between 1900 and 1920 and made from Paridur, this is a composite consisting of plaster with synthetic resins. It stands on a loose wall console.
The statue is marked with GvP and number 566, and is larger than the normal size and very rare the wall console marked with GEBRvP 057
The Paridons made primarily Christian religious sculptures and stopped with classic and modern art after 1920.

The sculpture is 26 cm high, in good condition with a few minor signs of wear
The console is 11 cm high, and is 10.5 cm wide.
