Bigioni Osvaldo 1856–1926. Painter of the Academy of Lucca, pupil of F. Prosperi, very young was noticed by M. Cammarano for the rich and lively palette and realistic tones of his portraits and landscapes. He took part in international exhibitions in Turin, Antwerp, Livorno and Rome.
Very rare are his sculptural productions, of which here we have an example.
Terracotta bust signed and dated by the artist at the base and inside. Dating 1895.
It is depicted a child with a melancholic look that is characteristic of a more adult age.
Very well structured sculpture, result of a great technical knowledge, very detailed.
