Description
Un bronze jailli il - Bronze - Chine - Dynastie des Han (206 av. J.-C. 220)
Bon état, voir la description - 13×18×28 cm

A spouted bronze He or Jiaohu, a kind of a Kettle used with a pole to warm wine. The vessels simplicity seems to indicate that it was most likely made during the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D. 220). Standing on small legs, the vessels spout is formed like an animals head. Restored from the original fragments (see enclosed x-ray), this interesting piece is covered with mineralized imprints of cloth.

Originally purchased in the Hong Kong art market around 2008 / 2009, it now is in a private Austrian collection.
