Breman exhibited his works on a regular basis at the exhibitions of ‘De Tien’, ‘the Gooise schildersclub’ of which he became the secretary. He also exhibited abroad in Madrid, Berlin, London, San Francisco and Glasgow, among other cities. He could always sell his work easily, sometimes in large quantities at a time to traders.
Breman lived from 1913 on in Laren with his wife Lizzy Schouten, who also painted and with whom he had a daughter, Everarda Elsebé. He died on 18 November 1938; almost 73 years old. From 1921 until his death, he was president of the artists association Laren-Blaricum. In his memory, there is a 'Co Bremanlaan' named after him in Laren. His work can to seen in the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem, the Dordrechts Museum, the Singer Museum in Laren, but he is also represented in foreign museums.
