Work by the Leghorn master VOLTOLINO FONTANI, signed both on the front and on the back with the name “CALAMBRONE”.
The master is known for having written the “artistic aesthetic manifesto” of Eaismo (atomic era-ism), that preceded the subsequent “Italian nuclear art” of the 1950s.
In 1947 in Livorno he founded the “Amedeo Modigliani Art School” and ran it until the whole 1957. This school was attended by the artists Ferdinando Chevrier and Osvaldo Bimbi.
From 1966 to his death he was teacher and then director of the “Libera Accademia d’Arte Trossi-Uberti” in Livorno.
The work will be sold with its original frame from the 1950s.
