A lovely Chinese porcelain monochrome brush-washer with a full decoration of a delicately crackled and creamy white glaze. The brush-washer has a small foot and a slightly everted rim. Handcrafted in ancient China during the Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (ca. 1690). Guaranteed original and of the stated period.
Provenance: Ex Christie’s ‘VungTau Cargo’-sale, lot 486. The VungTau cargo sunk in 1690, some pieces in the wreck were (slightly) older.
Diameter: 9,5 centimeter.
Condition: The object is in good condition, one hairline and small rough spot on the rim, without any restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
