Francois van Severdonck (1809 - 1889) - Countryside image

Beautiful countryside image by the well known Belgian painter Francois van Severdonck. Painted in the last year of his life, 1889.
Both the painting as well as the wonderful very classic frame are in excellent condition (AAA).

During the last year of his life Van Severdonck made several paintings with the same image, but each time with a small detail which made the painting unique and stand apart of other at first sight similar paintings.

On the back of the panel there is a barely readable statment by the painter declaring that it concerns a work made by him. The painting comes with a certificate of the well know expert Patrick Berko (see pictures).
