Fifty years ago people stepped on the Moon for the first time. Fifty years ago, this book "Amerikanen op de maan" was published, exactly on the day the astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins returned to earth! That was July 24th 1969! The book was written by space expert Piet Smolders and contains the complete history of the American space travel up to the historical flight of Apollo-11. In the words of Neil Armstrong: "Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed." The book is signed by the writer. It has 205 pages, contains numerous photos in black-and-white and in colour, including the historical television footage of Armstrong and Aldrin on the moon. The book measures 21 x 14 x 3 cm.
