This is the work of a rare Edo-era metal artisan. Nagoshi Masaharu (1830-1911) is a royal craftsman in Bakufu, Edo, Japan. He restored many places of interest and created many handed-down works, but preserved integrity is very rare. This is an ancient genuine work. Material is bronze, hand-carved phoenix, handle is lifelike dragon, weight 1301g, height 21cm caliber 6.5cm, well preserved!
