The lot consists of seven Baedekers, amongst which the rare ‘Die deutsche Ostseeküste’ edition from 1922! This copy contains nine advertising pages in the back of the book. These are absent in the later, often unrevised, reprints. 1) Ostseeküste (1922, without mention of the edition, first edition?). 2) Suisse (1881, thirteenth edition). 3) L'Italie des Alpes a Naples (1909, third edition). 4) London and its environs (1915, seventeenth edition). 5) Sud-Est de la France (1910, ninth edition). 6) Schweden, Norwegen (1908, eleventh edition). 7) Nordost-Deutschland (1908, twenty-ninth edition). All covers are made of red linen and are provided with gold lettering, ribbon markers and with marbled edges. In good condition. Normal signs of use, such as foxing and tears. Some maps are loose. The book block is somewhat loose of ‘Suisse’ and ‘London’ has a few loose pages. Please see the photos.
