Very finely painted representation of a blacksmith in his studio.
Unfortunately, the painter's name is difficult to read and therefore difficult to identify, but it was clearly a professional.
The work was inspired by the oeuvre of Constantin Meunier and painted around the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century.
The color is rather warm red as in the detailed pictures, but difficult to photograph exactly on the total pictures that turned out to be a bit too pale.
The colour evokes the warm glow of the blacksmith's fire.
Completely unrestored, not doubled and on the original stretcher. With the original frame. (see the pictures).
