Raadvad, established 1758, became famous from the 19th century for knives and kitchen implements. Raadvad's iconic bread slicer has been produced for over a century, becoming a Danish design classic. No longer in production, you can still own one of these machines.
This is one of the rarer full length models that was produced in the early post-war period and subsequently restored, with hardwood board and chromed metal parts.
The cutter is in good condition with light age-related patina (photos). The blade is fine and the guillotine functions well. It can slice breads (including rye), cheese, soap, fruits or flowers. Or it can be used as a book rack or as an unusual decoration, at home, or in a shop, cafe or restaurant.
