The Summer Games of 1980 were assigned to Moscow by the I.O.C. in 1974. Due to the invasion of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in 1979, these games were boycotted by 62 countries. Netherlands went, but reluctantly.
The extra large posters are original offset lithography and almost all have pin holes and signs of tape.
The first poster shown shows an "artist-impression" of Moscow with its many historic buildings and measures 67 x 94 cm.
The second poster shows the modern city of Kiev where several football matches took place. These and the other four posters are 56 x 89 cm.
At the bottom of each poster are, in Russian, the information about the designer, the printer etc.
The posters will be sent in a sturdy cardboard tube with T&T.
