Willy Davidson, actually Willy Davidsohn,
(* February 13, 1890 in Bromberg; † February 4, 1933 in Hamburg)
was a German painter, graphic artist and stage designer.
In most of the paintings a melancholic mood prevails.
The contours often appear blurred and the colours muted, so that a veil seems to lie over them. The depicted scenes appear almost exclusively as dream images.
The Hamburger Kunsthalle and the Hamburger Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe show Davidson's works. More works are privately owned.
His work can be described as unusually closed and at a consistently high level.
In very good condition.
