Rare, original engraving by Albrecht Dürer on sheet with good margins, on laid paper, in good condition, just slightly darkened in the central part (please see photos).
It is part of ‘Piccola passione’, a series of thirty-six woodcuts plus the title page engraved by Dürer in 1511, when the artist edited the re-edition of some of his old woodcuts, such as the Apocalypse, and published a new series of the Passion, called ‘Piccola’, to distinguish it from the ‘Grande Passione’ from 1497-1510. It was a smaller but more ambitious work, with scenes ranging from Genesis to the Last Judgment, here in a beautiful copy from the important edition of Daniel Bissuccio (Venice, 1612), with Italian text on the back.
