From the monastery chapel of a closed abbey. This yellow copper lamp is shaped like a spinning tip; there is a cross hanging at the bottom. Openwork top edge decorated with subtle religious symbols. The lamp is fitted with three fixed vertical handles, in which graceful tendrils are incorporated. Between the handles are fine applications in the form of vines with grapes. Three 32-cm chains with large links and crosses in between are attached to the handles. The chains come together in a round heat shield that hangs on a single chain. The lamp holds a removable red glass cup for burning a candle, tealight or oil. The total length is over half a metre. Few traces of wear, frequently polished
