Heavy antique, 18th century oblong, richly engraved brass tobacco box of copper.
At the top beautifully engraved images of a Inuiten-family (with inscriptions)
At the bottom also beautiful engraved images of a Dutch family from the region Mokum or Volendam (with inscriptions).
The box is engraved (at the bottom and on the upper side) and with presumably old Dutch and/or Jewish-Hebrew texts.
The whole is neatly finished. It is in a very good and used condition and has a beautiful shape. The photos do provide an idea of the beautiful condition in which this item is.
