The seats created by the Aluminium Group are the most famous projects of Charles and Ray Eames. They were born in 1958 and belong to the classics of the history of design of the 20th century.
One interesting characteristic of the Aluminium Chair is the intelligent combination of materials. Its form is clean and transparent, the structure is clearly visible. The aluminium sides offer the seat stability and lightness at the same time. In the side parts the upholstery has been fixed and tightened, adapting to the structure and guaranteeing great comfort despite the lack of voluminous padding. The upholstery is not a shell but a part of the structure.

EA 124 & 125

- Mechanism: mechanism for adjusting the incline of the backrest
- Backrest and seat: chair with high backrest, rotating. Padded elements in Hopsak lateral profiles and bracket in glossy and chromed die-cast aluminium.
- Arm rests: in die-cast aluminium.
- Base: with four points in die-cast aluminium.

The incline adjustment mechanism is perfectly functional.

The rotating mechanism is perfect and tight

The headrest cushion is practically new as it has never been used and has been preserved for 60 years in a plastic bag.

The fabric presents a couple of halos as it is over 60 years old, one on the seat and one on the footrest, but they can be removed with a careful cleaning.

One foot of the footrest is chipped.
