One of a series of only six coloured etchings made by Dignimont for 'Les Innocents'
The Innocents, a work written by Franis Carco in 1915, while he was mobilized. His novel was inspired by his affair with the New Zealander Katherine Mansfield and very controversial, hit by censorship because of the non patriotic image of the military and the libertean love scenes.
Published in a numbered limited edition in 1930.

The etching is printed on vellum paper, especially made for the edition and with the watermark of the author Francis Carco.
