Anton Kruysen (1898-1977) - Knotwilgen in landschap
Antoon Kruysen (Boxtel, 9 October 1898 - Chartres, 4 April 1977) was a Dutch painter. Kruysen is the son of painter Jan Kruysen and Barbara van Dijk. His father’s painting lessons led to his first exhibition when he was twelve years old. He then follows an education at the Academie voor de Beeldende Kunsten in Rotterdam, after which he leaves for Geneva. He makes a name for himself with the exhibition ‘Grand Salon d’Art’ in 1922. Later Paris, Dreux, Wassenaar, Reims, Oslo and Chartres follow and he settles in the latter.
